“Glo Up” it’s what all the millennials on Instagram are talking about, A twist of the phrase “grow up”, referring to a person’s incredible transformation. This is usually based on an increase in beauty and self-confidence.
But if you’re already fully grown, don’t worry there’s still time for a Glo Up!
Step 1. Decide to LOVE YOURSELF.
Could it really be as simple as a choice that you boldly make?
What if you choose to love yourself unconditionally? The same way you do your children.
Making it a rather simple decision. A decision that just makes sense.
I believe all love is a choice, I know that you can always decide to forgive and focus on the good, focus on the commitment that you’ve made
Just like marriage isn’t always easy, it can continue to grow without the drama if there’s not always an exit door nearby that you can threaten with when you argue.
Not saying that all marriages need to be forever, but the same way you can decide to stay in love is the same way you can make the decision to fall out out love.
Since the only one you’re stuck with is you, it sure makes sense to decide to love yourself for life!
What if we all consciously chose to not only accept ourselves, but to love who we were, who we are, and who we will be, no matter what we continued to hear, read or see from the outside world? Because companies sure make a lot of money on us not loving ourselves! Let’s ignore them and maybe they’ll get the hint 😉
Now, what about that sneaky fear?
Will we feel afraid of people thinking we were full of ourselves?
That’s the fear right there that we’ll someone shine brighter than someone else, making them feel small and in turn, they won’t like us. That’s BS!
We’re not doing anyone any favors playing small, just remember Marianne Williamson’s famous quote:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ― Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love
Step 2. Get confident.
Now that you’ve decided to love yourself unconditionally it’s time to consciously get confident.
Feeling less than confident is totally normal and all kinds of life situations can make you feel inadequate if you give in to these thoughts.
I feel like a rock star on stage when I’m speaking, but can feel self-conscious around parents at a school function – makes no sense I know!
But whenever you’re feeling that dreary lack of confidence to face your day, an event, a challenge try one 5 of my favorite confidence hacks.
Step 3. Get serious about your cellular health.
There’s no way of faking radiant health.
You can buy the best bronzer, highlighter, and luminous makeup, but that just washes off at the end of the day.
Radiant health gives you glowing skin, boundless energy, mental clarity and all an all-around sense of wellbeing.
And it all starts in the cells.
Nourish your cells with nutrition that gets to the center of the cell that will create a healthier, younger feeling and you from the outside.
Learn about InCelligence technology and get started on the Cellsentials right away – like literally today. The only better time would have been earlier than today.
This is not a glamourous instant gratification secret, but the results speak for themselves.
Step 4. Establish and commit to your skincare routine.
Having great skin is simple, but just like anything else that you want to experience change with you need to show up daily and your skin needs love both morning and evening.
My skincare routine is such a self-care practice for me because when I take the 5-10mins no matter how tired I am I’m saying to myself, that “I’m worth it”.
Here is my step-by-step skincare routine.
Step 5. Surround yourself with strong women.
I know you can far alone, but I guarantee you can go even further when you are surrounded by strong women.
Who are these strong women? They are confident women who don’t need or want to compete with you.
These women know that collaboration trumps competition. They know that there is no competition when you stay authentic to who you are. They will see your strength and potential and remind you of that.
Find your girl tribe and LOVE THEM HARD!
Step 6. Get fired up!
Do you what your purpose is? That’s a big question, but it’s important.
Find something that gets your excited, gets you all fired up and pursue that.
It’s about what you do, it’s about how you do it and the impact you have on others.
We’re not here just to coast along, we’re here to shake things up! Get fired up about something, it will transform you in every way.
Step 7. Dedicate time to personal development.
The first time I read a personal development book I was hooked on the feel-good feeling of growing because you know the alternative isn’t pretty.
William S. Burroughs is credited with the quote, “When you stop growing you start dying.”
And Lou Holtz said. “In this world, you’re either growing or you’re dying, so get in motion and grow.”
If you’re new to personal development I recommend picking up a book from one of my favorites Robin Sharma.
